Johnette L. Warren-Askew is a writer, spoken word artist, speaker, indie film director,  producer, and entrepreneur.   She was diagnosed with systemic lupus and end-stage renal failure in 2006 after being misdiagnosed for six years.  She was on dialysis for nearly seven years and has faced death many times.    Believing that there is purpose in the pain, Johnette now uses everything that she learned on her journey to encourage and inform others.

Johnette went from a place of hopelessness after her diagnosis to a place where she feels like she is living a fulfilling life.  This book is to help others go from a place of merely surviving to thriving.
